North Petherton Ladies travelled down to Devonport Services this Sunday. Devonport scored two early tries through a determined 10 and 12 combination. Petherton soon replied with a try of their own, with some great handling and Beth Wilson scoring on the outside. 10-17 at half time, North Petherton came out determined to show what they were made of. Strong running from Michelle Fox saw Petherton five metres out from Devonport’s try line. The continued onslaught from the Petherton forwards saw Ellie Buck dot down for the away sides 3rd try, with Rosie Wheeler converting. With the score line equal, North Petherton’s strong offload game saw Stacey Saunders score in midfield with Wheeler converting again. 24 all with 10 minutes to go Petherton were fearless and committed to seeing the game out. Devonport’s strong attack in the wide channels saw them victors in this fantastic game of rugby, with the final score line being 36-24 to the home side. North Petherton look forward to their away fixture on the 17th October against Bath
